Hot Spot Convenience Stores is enhancing its digital engagement strategy with the launch of an upgraded mobile app. This newly designed Hot Spot Rewards app aims to provide a new level of personalized and dynamic content, aligning with the changing expectations of modern consumers and supporting the company’s rapid growth.
“This announcement represents a significant milestone for Hot Spot,” said Shawn Holmes, Corporate Marketing Manager. “As we expand in one of the country’s most competitive markets, bolstering our digital engagement is essential for boosting brand recognition. This new app allows us to effectively compete with larger regional players while providing our customers with the personalized interactions they desire.”
After years of utilizing a previous white-labeled app, Holmes recognized the need for a more flexible and customizable solution. Hot Spot partnered with Rovertown to create a next-generation app experience that sets it apart in the digital landscape.
The revamped app not only enhances the existing Hot Spot Rewards loyalty program but also opens up new opportunities for offers supported by consumer packaged goods, personalized engagement, and discounts on age-restricted items.
Holmes added, “The convenience retail landscape has changed significantly in recent years. Whether in-store or online, being agile and adaptable is crucial. For a company of our size, having such advanced digital engagement and loyalty features gives us a competitive edge. I am proud of our team’s achievements, and I believe our customers will appreciate these improvements.”
As Hot Spot continues to grow, the new app’s flexible platform will allow for ongoing enhancements. An upcoming feature, the Hot Spot Employee Hub, is set to make it easier for staff to access benefits.
Founded over 75 years ago and based in Spartanburg, Hot Spot operates 41 convenience stores along with nationally branded Subway and Hardee’s locations, and their proprietary Hotties Kitchens.
