Hot Spot Convenience Stores Donates $5500 to Matt Hughes Skatepark in Myrtle Beach, SC
Myrtle Beach, SC – Hot Spot Convenience Stores is proud to announce that it has donated $5500 to the Matt Hughes Skatepark in Myrtle Beach, SC. The donation was made as part of a partnership with Monster Energy Drinks, where Hot Spot covered $5500 and Monster contributed $1300 of the $6800 check. CEO Wilton Jordan II of Spartanburg, SC and Category Manager Wilton Jordan III of Asheville, NC presented the check at the 2nd Annual Myrtle Beach AM Skateboarding Contest, an open amateur street contest for men and women with a $2,000 purse organized by DaVille Skate Shop on April 8th, 2023.
Hot Spot Convenience Stores has a longstanding commitment to supporting skateboarding and the communities in which it operates. The company has donated to and supported efforts to build skate parks in Myrtle Beach, SC, Spartanburg, SC and Franklin, NC. Spartanburg is home to the Hot Spot Skate Park, a City of Spartanburg Public Park built with the generous support of Hot Spot.

The Matt Hughes Skatepark is a popular destination for skateboarders in the Myrtle Beach area. The $5500 donation from Hot Spot Convenience Stores will be used to improve the park’s amenities and provide more opportunities for young people to enjoy the sport of skateboarding.
